As Iceland "celebrates" its first anniversary of THE BIG CRASH, HH opens an art exhibition titled "The Icelandic Expansion 2009" - a sarcastic title, since "The Icelandic Expansion" (Icelandic business-viking-raids on foreign shores) came to a shrieking halt one year ago. The show features a series of photographs shot last January in an unnamed country in southern Africa, showing a once invincible, now desperate Icelandic "business-viking" wandering around the poor third world suburbs, sleeping on the beach and begging in the street. Show is at The Contemporary Art Gallery, Skólavörðustígur 3, 101 Reykjavik, 7-20 October 2009.

HH was invited to be among the speakers at the opening ceremony of the art festival in Bergen Norway last May, a black tie event held at the big and festive Grieghallen, with the king and queen of Norway up front. HH's speech focused on the current crisis in Iceland and the relations between the two countries. It was recorded by Norwegian Televison, NRK, and is now available on youtube.com.

Hr. Alheimur (2003)

Mr. Universe is a sci-fi comedy about God and the Universe. The book is written as if it was a big budget Hollywood movie with big name stars in every role and a tacky tag line: When the creator becomes the destroyer.

God (Marlon Brando) lives on a small planet in the middle of the Universe along with the dead from all his 714 planets. One morning God’s PA (Woody Allen) brings him the news that mankind 607 (the people of Earth) has started cloning itself. This angers God. He decides to destroy mankind 607. One of the leaders of planet 607 residing with God is Napoelon Nixon (Atnhony Hopkins). He sets out on a mission to save his people blockbuster style. Accompanied by former gladiator Eliban (Mike Tyson) Napoleon Nixon travels to the interior of God’s planet, where he hopes to get help from The Prince of Darkness (Leonardo di Caprio).

Mr. Universe was written in Elba and Rome in the summer of 2002.

It was well received by the critics but sales were poor. People either loved it or were not interested at all. The movie has not been made. Not yet.
